To advance the art of dancing; to improve the practice of its teaching; to establish better and more uniform methods of instruction among teachers of dancing in the united states and canada; to enable them to meet annually for cooperative and collective study of conditions pertaining to their profession; for the mutual interests and the fraternal cooperation of its members.

Teachers training is a 5 day conference to relay the latest teaching techniques and dance instruction in a concise format enabling a more uniform method of instruction among teachers
National convention is a 7 day conference offering 6 hours a day of dance education in specific disciplines of dance. This allows collective and co-operative study of new techniques for all members and their students.
The general scholarship allows for open scholarship auditions for students of members. They are awarded monetary and study scholarships to advance their education in their chosen discipline.
Friendship fund pays benefits to our members for death,sickness, hospitalization expenses and other hardships.
The risley scholarship allows for funds to be given to chapters for monetary and study scholarships to students to advance their education in their chosen discipline.
