The Mission of the DaPonte String Quartet Foundation is to enable the musicians of the DaPonte String Quartet to cultivate appreciation for chamber music through distinctive performance, educational outreach, and collaboration with other musicians.

In keeping with its mission, the Daponte String Quartet Foundation continued to bring world class performances to audiences along coastal Maine from Sanford to Eastport including a candlelight concert in the Old Walpole Meetinghouse which was built in 1772. Overall, 3 concert series were performed in addition to several individual concerts totaling more than 30 concerts in 10 venues. The group also presented 2 guest artists. The concert schedule included a concert on Great Cranberry Island off the coast of Maine.
After a thorough search for 18 months, DSQF was able to restore a fourth player and hired Philipp Ellsner
