Davis Forest School

Little Coyotes Forest Kinder: is our all-outdoor preschool/kindergarten program for children ages 3-6. It offers gentle, play-based early childhood education rooted in seasonal rhythms, sensory exploration, and land connection. Accomplishments include 1. launched in early Fall 2024, now operating 5 days/week across 2 locations 2. enrolled 35 children in our first year and 3. created foundational nature routines that support school readiness, confidence, and well-being.

Summer Camp Program: provides multi-week, drop-off outdoor programming for children ages 5-12. It blends classic camp activities with nature immersion, creek play, naturalist skills, and creative projects. Accomplishments include 1. served over 290 children across 3 locations in Davis & Sacramento 2. ran for 10 weeks, with a full roster and returning families and 3. employed a team of paid teen interns (ages 14-17) from our leadership pipeline.
