Mobile Assessment/Street Outreach- The DRC Street Outreach team provides services to ensure citizens experiencing homelessness have access to housing opportunities and other resources in the community. DRC locates individuals and families experiencing unsheltered homelessness, completes assessments for housing, reunites them with family, if possible, helps them gather documentation required for housing program eligibility, and connects them with appropriate housing interventions within the Tarrant County Continuum of Care. The goal of the program is to assist unsheltered individuals and families towards housing in multiple ways. First, by ensuring that the household is enrolled in the local Continuum of Cares service system and regularly check in so that they can stay active and eligible to receive housing assistance. Second, by helping them to obtain any necessary critical documents needed for housing access. And third, by assisting in locating appropriate living accommodations once the household is eligible for housing opportunities.

Critical Document Replacement- The DRC Critical Document Replacement team assists individuals and families experiencing homelessness in replacing needed critical documents such as: State ID, Drivers License, Social Security Card, Birth Certificate, and other documents often required for housing or employment opportunities. DRC has long standing relationships with issuing agencies in all 50 states that enables DRC to serve as advocates on behalf of the clients we serve. DRC transports individuals and families experiencing homelessness to DPS and Social Security offices as needed and can be used as a mailing address for receiving documents.
