Cause brings together individuals, community groups, church groups, small group bible studies, young adults, students for fireside, volunteers, opportunities for encouragement and comfort, mentoring opportunities nearly daily, exposure to the mission of dym and giving to needs. In 2024, cause donations included helping fight sex trafficking, tornado relief, orphan care in haiti, money to help needs of a local widow, new blankets for nicu facilities, and coffee/supplies and gift baskets for local schools, other fundraisers, and weekly donated pastries for local care center, and more. Non-cash donations to dym in 2024 included a wall of mirrors and new commercial glass door, maintenance on sprinkler system, new faucet for sink, new outdoor patio benches, plants and landscaping,8 boxes of new clothes to give to those in need, and outdoor christmas lighting, including installation. In 2024 dym continued to expand its longstanding positive reputation in the community and beyond. Total revenues and expenses for this program are listed on form 990-t.

Fresh start kc ministries is a non-profit established to support families and people in the greater kansas city area that are seeking to transition out of homelessness. Fresh start has a team of 6 people and have found our niche in supporting other existing non-profits with the same goal. Over this past year we have received thousands in non-cash donations in the way of materials, construction labor, and food, as well as hundreds of hours given in volunteer time. Our main areas of support are financial and volunteer hours such as doing construction, providing meals, supporting fundraising efforts, etc. The non-profits fresh start is currently working with are hillcrest transitional housing, eden village, and homework's usa. Fresh start sponsors 2 apartments at hillcrest transitional housing. These apartments house individuals working to stay off the streets. Eden village offers affordable tiny homes for rent to homeless individuals. Fresh start supports this organization with financial support and preparing meals for the residents. Homework's usa offers affordable tiny homes to those who have aged out of the foster care system. Fresh start has supported homework's through various construction projects in getting their tiny homes read to rent.

Desoto youth ministries, inc. (dym) exists to help teens, young adults to discover their unique mission and empower them to build a spiritual foundation, find connections and inspiration where imagination is not limited in ways to love god and others.
