Mission
Delivering good is a nonprofit organization that provides people impacted by poverty and tragedy with new merchandise donated by retailers and manufacturers. Since 1985, delivering good has distributed nearly $3 billion of new clothing, home goods, toys, furniture, books, and other consumer products through its network of more than 800 community partners, offering hope, dignity and self-esteem to children, families, and individuals. Delivering good helps people facing hardship and disaster move forward by working with our partners to match them with new, essential items and services - providing care that supports dignity, renews hope, and opens doors to opportunity.
Programs
1 program
Other programs - delivering good conducts a range of additional, innovative programs to provide useful, new products to people in need. These include: - retail programs - delivering good's retail program matches community partners with local stores of national retailers to secure donations of necessary merchandise for children, adults and families in need. These programs provide an opportunity for companies to give back in a meaningful way, and present an efficient, uniform donation process across stores in local communities. - disaster relief - as part of our specialist efforts to assist communities affected by natural emergency, delivering good assisted residents of north carolina and georgia following the devastating impacts of hurricane helene in 2024. Thanks to a generous grant from the hearst foundations, delivering good distributed more than $5 million worth of clothing and relief supplies to displaced victims of flooding, reaching approximately 30,000 families and individuals recovering from the disaster.delivering good also partnered with west virginia voad for the second year of an ongoing program to supply them with clothing and supplies to be warehoused and rapidly distributed at times of distress and emergency in west virginia throughout the year, a program that can be adopted in the future in other states. - partnership impact and enhancement - each year, delivering good convenes a day-long community partner impact summit, bringing together representatives from our nationwide network of community nonprofits that encompasses 800 local organizations at all. This day-long function allows community organizations to meet, collaborate, discuss, and learn from expert session-leaders as well as one another.as a supplement to this, delivering good hosts quarterly "office hours" to answer questions and take part in one-on-one guidance and assistance for our nonprofit partners. Together, these efforts provide a unique and vital resource that makes the entire ecosystem of nonprofit charities stronger across the united states.
