National security and human rights - dpa strives to protect human and civil rights, online and off, in the united states.
Corporate power & economics - demand progress action, inc. (dpa) seeks to reduce the corrupting influence of corporate interests in policy-making, break up and regulate concentrations of corporate power, and reform the financial system - so our democracy and economy work for everyone. Dpa works to protect an internet that affords the public the ability to communicate freely online, without unjust interference from corporations or governments.
Encryption - demand progress action is working to rebuild the connective tissue between the political left and right in support of strong encryption, establish a bipartisan coalition on- and off-the hill, counter attempts by government agencies to undermine end-to-end encryption, and advance bipartisan legislation that strengthens and safeguards encryption standards.
Democracy & open government - dpa believes an open, accountable, and sufficiently-resourced government is essential for a well-functioning democracy - and smart use of technology is key to making our modern democracy work. Our work intends to make sure our democracy continues to be open and accountable to the people.
