Democracy Green provided clean water and air quality education including PFAS and lead testing training community workshops environmental health screenings and public resource-navigation support for residents in systemically vulnerable communities across North Carolina.

Democracy Green advanced conservation and nature-based restoration projects including wetland restoration ecological assessments invasive-species removal and creek cleanup activities to improve environmental health and community resilience.

Democracy Green provided education and outreach on utility affordability and consumer protection helping residents understand rate cases energy burdens shutoff protections and how to participate in regulatory processes. The program supported low-income and systemically vulnerable communities in navigating the utility system and accessing essential protections.
