Mission
The mission of the biennial of the americas is to create connections, build community, and inspire change across the americas through the transformative power of ideas and art.
Programs
2 programs
The biennial further works towards the amplification of the wide variety of cultures across the western hemisphere through our plaza programming and workshops. These installations and events uplift artists and creatives from across the americas and expose coloradans to their work and their tremendous cultural value. The plaza of the americas, formerly tail tracks plaza, was renamed in 2023 to celebrate and recognize the biennial's work to transform the space into a hub of connectivity between denver and the americas. In conjunction with the art displays, we offer a series of community programming, meant to encourage attendees to engage more deeply with the art and create some of their own.
Cities summit of the americas youth summit brought together youth from across the americas, promoting regional cooperation, convening subnational youth leaders from across the entire western hemisphere with diverse and inclusive representatives of government, civil society, business, academia, culture and the arts, and indigenous and underrepresented groups. The youth summit brought together the youth congress for sustainable americas to further sustainable initiatives. It is a robust network of young environmental leaders from 15 different countries. The delgates meet annually for leadership development, collaboration opportunities and to highlight their sustainability projects at the individual community level.
