Mission
The purpose of Rotary is to provide service to others, promote integrity, and advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace through our fellowship of business, professional, and community leaders. These activities are implemented in some 33,000 Rotary Clubs located around the world. The seven objectives of Rotary are peacebuilding and conflict prevention; disease prevention and treatment; water, sanitation, and hygiene; maternal and child health; basic education and literacy; and community economic development. The Denver Cherry Creek Rotary Club is one of the many Clubs.
Programs

The dental mission provided dental services, primarily to children, in Honduras. The mission served 350 children over a 4 day period. Dentists and dental hygenists donate thier time. The services have an estimated value of $40,000. The number of Club members and outside volunteers aggregated to 6.
The She Has a Name (SHAN) project provides homes and education to girls sold into the sex trade in Kenya rescued by SHAN. It currently serves about 25 girls at any one time. The funds provided assisted in building a facility designed to accomodate more girls.
These are composed of 13 grants rangeing in amount from $200 to $4,652. The donees are smaller projects that are consistent with the purposes of rotary and where the amount of money is meaningful to them.
