Mission
Detroit community cat rescue strives to Promote and provide cat rescue, adoption, Trap-neuter-return, education and policy change to help save stray and feral cats in the city of Detroit. To create a more equitable, just and diverse rescue community for rescuers. To change the approach to rescue as we know it to better the lives of rescuers and felines. To create a rescue organization where all folks feel empowered and welcome to save feline lives. Our programs include stray cat rescue and trap neuter programs. Adoption and foster services. Surrender services. Cat care, cat advocacy and, trap neuter return free educational classes for children/young adults and adults. A section of the rescue time and budget used to research and work with government and community organizations to change the law, regulation and approach to cat rescue and ownership.
