Tourism: the tourism committee develops and actively promotes the detroit lakes region as a year-round tourism destination. In fy 2023-2024 the chamber served 2,776 walk-in's, 2,892 phone calls and 660,209 website visits.

Promotion and events: develops and coordinates community retail promotions that enhance and create an awareness of the detroit lakes area as the region's shopping hub for goods and services. These annual events include art in the park, we-fest shuttle, bird festival and annual banquet dinner.
