Our mission and passion is to educate, encourage, and empower children living with type 1 diabetes, while providing support to their families.

Programs

2 programs

Teen camp weekends/ programming: these weekend adventures provide teens a way to learn, connect, and gain valuable support throughout the year. The teen ambassadors program provides a unique leadership opportunity to teens with type 1 diabetes. They focus on service within dyfi and the community, diabetes advocacy, and t1d teen outreach.

Expenses: $3K

Family camp weekends/ community events: throughout the year, these mini retreats offer families with younger children an opportunity to try out camp. For older children with diabetes, the organization offers a counselor-in-training program and an adventure teen program.
