Agriculture leadership activities the dickson county farm bureau structure of organizational leadership provides many opportunities for member leaders to keep abreast of issues that affect agriculture. Local board members attend organizational & educational meetings each month. They participate in other local agricultural & educational meetings each month. They participate in other local acricultural civic & community organizations. Leaders attend district state & national conferences to network with farmers & other agriculturalists to learn about current issues facing agriculture. A highly developed committee structure provides leadership opportunities for members through meetings, regular communications and agriculture activities.

Youth leadership development annually the dickson county farm bureau remains involved as part of the oversight of agriculture youth development in the area. The efforts include outreach to rural suburban & urban youth. The dickson county farm bureau assists in manning & funding an ag field day where 4th grade students get to see how important ag is to everyday life and to educate them on where their food and fiber comes from. The dickson county farm bureau sponsors the 4-h jr steer show and the poster and essay contest and donates to teh county ffa chapters. Dickson county farm bureau also gives 2 agriculture schlorships to students who are pursuing agriculture degrees.
