Mission
The mission of the lions sight research foundation of district 2-a2 is to enhance the worldwide sight conservation efforts of lions clubs international by supporting research to find cures for diseases of the eye and assisting with the delivery of eye care services to the communities we serve.
Programs
2 programs
The Lions Mobile Eye Screening Program has been active since 1996. The Lions Mobile Eye Screening Unit screens over 1,500 people per year. The modified bus platform is staffed by Lions volunteers and the program is administered by LSRF staff. The visitors to the Mobile Unit are provided visual acuity, eye pressure, and glaucoma screenings at no cost.
