To preserve and promote the best interests of competitive contract bridge, to prescribe rules and eligibility for participation in tournaments, to sponsor and supervise tournaments, to consider and pass judgement upon reports of dishonest, unethical, or improper conduct of participants in these tournaments and to bar or suspend persons guilty of such conduct.
