Mission

The mission of the dorothy m. Sakazki environmental endowment fund is to promote environmental education including but not limited to the mt. View sanitary district's wetland's field trip program and to further the preservation and protection of natural resources, including but not limited to the district's wetlands, which are charitable activities within the meaning of the internal revenue code. Section 501 (c) (3).

Sakazki environmental endowment fund and its project were also recognized by the state of california department of fish and wildlife and the san francisco bay regional water quality control board as a potential repository for environmental mitigation fees to be paid in lieu of mitigation. These fees are paid to the fund to be used for the peyton slough hydraulic relief project.
