Mission

Downtown Brookings creates economic vitality by educating, connecting, and creating opportunity. The Board of Directors and ExecutiveDirector conduct the economic vitality activities. Economic vitality activities take place in the Central Business District of Brookings, SD. Fiftypercent of the time is allocated to economic vitality. The activity is funded through donations, grants, fees, and municipal funds. Economicvitality furthers our exempt purpose by sharing information and resources, identifying economic opportunities, partnering with area organizationsand government bodies, and creating a supportive environment to help new and existing businesses thrive, including informational booklets andbusiness development education.
