Mission
The Organization is a Business Improvement District dedicated to help the community (The LA Fashion District) to be a clean, safe and friendly place to work, shop, live and do business through cleaning, safety and marketing programs.
Programs

Safe Programs: Provided an enhanced safety presence on the streets, patrolling on bicycle and by vehicle seven days a week, 24 hours a day. Performed 191,687 location checks / Performed 52,609 contacts to assist merchants and visitors / Performed 737 welfare checks / Performed 4,539 responses to disorderly conduct / Performed 183 responses to reported fires in the district
Santee Alley Overlay: Parcels with footage fronting the Santee Alley received additional Cleaning, Security and Marketing services inside the Santee Alley as a separate overlay within the BID
Management and Other Expenses $752,228: Funded supporting services andorganizational costs (such as administration, uncollected assessments provision,equipment depreciation, and city and county collection fees). The program serviceswere managed by a professional management staff that also provided centralizedadministrative support.
Marketing and Economic Development Programs $745,708: The BID promoted the LA Fashion District and kept stakeholders informed through 1) Social Media and Blog Posts 2) Website 3) e-newsletters, quarterly trend reports and an annual report and meeting / The BID provided visitor demographics obtained through Placer.ai., vacancy and property data through CoStar / The BID completed these special projects: a public art installation campaign with local artist S.C. Mero at the 9th & Main Street median, StreetBox Art Project in partnership with 11:11 Projects, Dia De Los Muertos Community Altar event in collaboration with Mariachi Las Catrinas and Self Help Graphics, hosted an IPW Press Tour and multiple FAM trips in collaboration with LA Tourism, and launched a major update to our online Business Resource Hub to better serve our business community. The Policy team continued efforts to push for a more flexible and balanced community plan for the LA Fashion District and build more robust relationships with elected officials.
