Early Care And Learning Council

The early care & learning council (eclc), in partnership with brightside up of the capital region and the child care council of westchester have been selected to pilot a new assessment tool, the child/it, in partnership with the edward zigler center in child development & social policy at yale university. The child tool is a comprehensive assessment tool designed to examine the mental health climate of early childhood and education programs.

The business navigator, a child care toolkit for employers in new york state is created as a resource for businesses across the state to better support their employees in aligning work responsibilities and caregiving needs. Eclc will publish print and digital versions of the toolkit and an interactive child care mapping resource for nys employers. Eclc will introduce the published toolkit in a public rollout to businesses across the state through 3 webinars followed by 10 live launches across all regional economic development council (redc) regions of the state. This work shall be created and launched by partnering with 10 lead ccr&rsone in each of the redc regions, and with the support of several outside consultants who lend expertise in the following areas: tax credits, economic development, publicity, digital toolkit content, and mapping.
