Mission

East Ends mission is to provide social services to eligible individuals and families. Services are provided to pre-school toddlers children and school age children adults Families and Senior citizens who reside with the East End geographical.

Ubuntu Learning Center Program - Various programs including day care programs voucher program summer programs. These programs are funded by various Federal State of OH and locally funded grants and contracts. The learning center encompasses our youth services inclusive of early childhood education before after school programs and summer camps. East End Youth Services reached 190 children from 105 families. Services were provided on site at East End and off-site at Harvey Rice Elementary and Wings Academys after school hours. We are Gold Award rated center with an impeccable history of providing quality service! We care for the most vulnerable our children and our parents our biggest cheerleaders! Weve hired new staff boasting the highest number of African American Male teachers in both pre-school and school age classrooms! We are because you are Ubuntu!

Senior Center - Various programs including Adult development Congregate meals Home delivered meals transportation to Seniors. These programs are funded by Various Federal State of OH and locally funded grants and contracts. This year we serviced 105 seniors on an ongoing basis every Monday Wednesday and Fridays. During special events when we for instance help seniors receive summer vouchers for market shopping days we helped an additional 45 seniors. Seniors who come to East End for weekly face to face interaction and socialization receive a variety of diverse social activities including but not limited to sewing classes dancing exercise jewelry creation and of course bingo! In a more structured manner seniors receive one on one evaluation from the team of staff assessing needs around food personal care and other urgent senior matters.
