Mission

The purpose of the East Hampton Library is to meet the information, knowledge and reading needs of its users. In addition, the Library supports its famed Long Island Collection for historical reasearch which includes more than 100,000 items. Each August, the Library hosts Authors Night,one of the premier literary programs in the country. The Library also hosts a Free Children's Fair that is attended by more than 3,000 children and parents. The Library actively seeks donations for the various projects it is involved in.
