East High Angel Foundation

In honor of Denver East High School a film is being produced by the foundation using restricted funds from donors. The film will celebrate and document East students past and present.

For the 2024-2025 school year the EAF faculty / staff grants committee received 37 grant applications totaling approximately $80,000. EAF fully or partially funded 23 grants for $41,139 and funded other school needs for an additional $20,245. These funds enhanced student achievement in science, dance, music, engineering, math, journalism, special education and other departments.

In coordination with the East principal and the East facilities department, EAF contributed $13,785 for maintenance of the commemorative bricks outside of the school , the Athletic Hall of Fame, and an ongoing project for a master plan development.

The EAF board supports alumni engagement and supports the school through alumni communication, the Heritage Hall, preserving East history and planning for the upcoming sesquincenetnnial celebration.

The East pantry food initiative provides meals and snacks to East students and their families.

A+ Angel Awards are funds for college awarded to students who have successfully completed Easts mentoring program. Seven students were each awarded $1,000 this year.

The Student Assistance Fund (SAF) was established to help disadvantaged youth obtain necessary items that are not otherwise available to them. These items include textbooks, fees for advanced placement tests, calculators, school supples and / or fees associated with some classes or activities.
