Tennis:tennis, and the life skills it teaches, serves an important role in epatt's youth development model. Our tennis component is taught by coaches who learned the game when they were epatt students and are now giving back to the community and coaching the next generation of players.there is a signifcant overlap between participants in tennis and academics. In addition, our coaches served as teachers for students participating in p.e. Tennis at schools in the local school district.
Enrichment/parent:the strongest predictor of student success is parental involvement in their child's education. We host regular workshops where we coach parents omn how to support their child's academic journey and how to be informed, engaged advocates for their child.our enrichment activities expose students to experiences that might otherwise be difficult for them to access. These include tours to museums, aquariums, and zoos, as well as overnight rafting trips and hikes.
