The mission of eastern area community ministries is to provide emergency and supportive services to individuals in need. This assistance is to be provided to individuals who reside within a certain geographical area and who meet other specific criteria.

Noncash assistance was provided by a food pantry; school supplies for children; and supplies for individuals with infants. Substantially all of the food and supplies provided to these individuals were donated by various organizations and individuals. Program service income was primarily from the home delivered meals program; additional income was received from churches and individuals for other services provided.
