1.promote the wise management of forest lands as a natural resource. 2.provide an ongoing source of information for members to make informed decisions concerning their forest land. 3.offer professional forestry assistance to the small forest landowner. 4.make the ownership of forest land more attractive as an investment. 5.improve communications among landowners, foresters, mill owners,timber harvesters and other members of the forest products industry. 6.protect open space and professionally manage demonstration forests through the wolf den land trust.
