Mission

Eastside Ministries, a 501 (c) 3 organization, provides free food and clothing, hygiene products and other donated items to unhoused and underserved individuals and families on the east side of Fort Worth without discrimination. In 2024 we served clients from our permanent location at 5929 E Lancaster, Monday-Friday, and in community events throughout the city of Fort Worth on select Saturdays during the year in a project funded by Texas Health Resources known as The Railroad Project.

Clean, gently used clothing and shoes are donated to Eastside Ministries, along with hygiene products, free diapers for infants to adults are available as well a dog and cat food. Clients can come twice a month to shop in the clothing closet for themselves, their children as well as elderly family members living in their home.

When Eastside Ministries began in 1984, we also provided a sack lunch for the hand full of people who were indigent and homeless traveling up and down EastLancaster. Since we began, the number has grown to anywhere from 80-100 lunches each day. We attempt to make up those lunches with a sandwich containing protein, fruit, salty chips, cookies,,sweet snack as well as a drink, usually bottled water. Donations from the grocery stores are essential to feeding this vulnerable population.
