To engage in a trust for land that promotes the acquisition, preservation, conservation and management of real property covered by conservation easements and related land areas as scenic, scientific, educational, natural areas such as prairie and agricultural land, wetlands, wildlife habitat and other open spaces which contribute to the character of the state of kansas for the benefit of the public.
