Ecumenical institute has created intentional communities made up of individuals who want to live simply and are committed to a green and sustainable lifestyle. Intentional community is an inclusive term for eco villages, cohousing communities, cooperative living, and other projects where people strive together with a common vision.
The conference center aids non-profits in furthering their causes by providing lodging and meeting space for groups traveling to chicago to further the organizations mission. Ecumenical institute has hosted religious groups traveling to chicago to volunteer in the city, educational groups, and participants for on-site conferences.
