Our mission is to produce live theatre that entertains, enriches, and engages the community.
Programs
1 program
Education is a life-long pursuit, and edp increases opportunities to see theatre, build theatre skills, and use live theatre to educate the community. Edp's education program connected sixty-three students ages 6-18 with instructors and material that taught skills and built confidence to pursue opportunities inside and outside of the theatre. Tuition assistance in the form of scholarships increased access to the program. Edp also supported theatre education in king and snohomish counties by loaning resources to enhance school productions and awarding long-standing scholarships of $1,000 each to three students pursuing higher education in theatre arts and theatre technology. Also, over one hundred ticket passes were donated to schools, arts and culture, and other nonprofits in king and snohomish counties to support their fundraising efforts. Edp's outreach program, take a kid to the theatre, served twenty-three youth and their families experiencing housing insecurity in snohomish county with on-site workshops in shelter and transitional housing facilities, as well as performance tickets and enrollment in edp programs with transportation, meals, and supplies, at no cost. Our program goal, since 2012, is to increase participation in theatre arts and connection to the community for these youth and families.
