Programs

2 programs

The edmonds toy shop had a successful year under the edmonds food bank's umbrella to support our community's children during the winter holiday season. 460 households received gift support during the holiday season. This was over a 50% increase from the prior year. In june, over 100 households received support through our bikes, books, and berries program. This program includes a bike distribution that equaled last year's volume of bikes, along with opportunities for all attendees to select free books, sign up for library cards, receive a selection of berries, and access services from washington kids in transition and edmonds human services manager.

Expenses: $10K

Edmonds food bank became approved as the snap/ebt manager for the edmonds summer market. This program is primarily a pass-through program between snap(usda)/market match(wsda) and farmers at the summer market. This program allows our customers and all ebt-approved individuals who access the edmonds summer market to use their snap benefits to purchase fresh food items and receive market match funds for additional produce items at no cost to the customer. Edmonds food bank considers these programs a part of our mission to provide food and nutrition security in our community.
