The diocese has achieved meaningful progress by addressing key social challenges, including support for orphans, reducing school dropouts, combating teenage pregnancies and delinquency, and improving sanitation, health, and agriculture. It also works to protect children and women from violence, uplift marginalized groups such as women and persons with disabilities (pwds), and promote environmental careall while fighting the widespread poverty that continues to affect the region.
Construction of school facilities in uganda to enable impoverished children in a small village in uganda to attend school and gain an education.
Purchase of scholastic materials for use in schools attended by children in the sponsorship program. Scholastic materials consist primarily of school books.
The school gardening program supports 28 primary schools, helping students learn practical agricultural skills while also improving nutrition through the food they grow. These gardens provide hands-on learning that reduces school dropouts, enhances productivity, and empowers children to contribute to their families and communities. By linking education with agriculture, the program helps address challenges such as poor health, food insecurity, and poverty, while giving students lifelong skills for self-reliance.
