Spread the vision - we are amplifying the stories, voices, and breakthroughs that are redefining what's possible in education. Through powerful storytelling, strategic media engagement and national thought leadership, we are expanding awareness and advancing the vision of learner-centered education as a viable, credible pathway for public education transformation.in 2024, we advanced the vision by: -reaching over 50 media outlets - from local publications, like dallas morning news and newport this week, to national platforms like e-school news, getting smart, and youth today. -launching a film series that spotlighted four learner-centered environments and their direct impacts on the lives of young people, families, and communities. -equipping local leaders and partners with communications tools to tell their own stories and amplify their work. -leading high-profile sessions at key national events, including the carnegie foundation for the advancement of teaching's national summit on improvement in education, big picture learning's big bang, and the aurora institute symposium.by fueling visibility, highlighting impact, and elevating local and regional innovation, we are growing support and momentum for learner-centered transformation.
Build the field -we are cultivating the vision, leadership, connections, and capacities necessary to expand a national movement for learner-centered education. Our growing network of 1,400+ educators, young people, researchers, system leaders, and advocates spans 42 states, 246 organizations, and serves more than 272,000 children. Education reimagined curates immersive learning experiences, high-impact gatherings, and place-based site visits that equip this diverse community to lead bold transformation in their local contexts and advance systems transformation at regional and national levels.in 2024, we strengthened the field by: -hosting two sparkhouse youth convenings, expanding our 800+ network of young people who are turning their lived experience into advocacy for education transformation. -holding one learning lab training for professionals from 17 organizations across 11 states-growing our 600+ community of leaders implementing learner-centered schools and programs across the country. -leading 18 immersive site visits to learner-centered environments across urban, rural, and suburban settings to diverse public, charter, and out-of-school programs offering real-time insights into the work in action.- publishing a foundational research report highlighted how learner experience in learner-centered models compares to national averages, laying the groundwork for expanded inquiry. -launching a comprehensive research agenda to build credibility for the field and guide future efforts to pilot, sustain, and spread learner-centered ecosystems.by investing in leadership development, shared learning, and actionable research, we are enabling the growth and sustainability of learner-centered education nationwide.
