Educational programs:charities: in 2024, charity leaders were provided with six online educational programs and one in-person program, including a bbb charity effectiveness symposium entitled "the power of community: building authentic relationships with supporters, and six other programs about issues such as fraud trends, making critical financial decisions, engaging your board, audit and 990 prep, and talent development. All online programs in 2024 were offered for free to registrants. Attendees for in-person program were charged a small registration fee.businesses: the seventeenth bbb forum on corporate responsibility was presented as a webcast on september 25, 2024, and provided free to registrants. It was entitled "sustainable communities: managing change, innovating for resilience." there were 1,431 combined business and charity program attendees noted in 2024.
Leadership:our foundation maintains a year-round skill-building volunteer internship program, which helps young people build leadership and career skills. Participants are trained and supervised. They are invited to attend career sessions with senior executives from bbb board leadership. Interns learn skills in areas such as dispute resolution, customer service, business communications, financial statement evaluation and nonprofit management. In 2024, internships were conducted virtually using tools such as online meetings. The program served 31 interns in 2024.
