Mission

eduKenya provides high quality transformational educational opportunities to children and families living in abject poverty in the Mathare slum of Nairobi Kenya. These programs currently exist in the form of schools skills training and community support ministry.

Programs

1 program

Community Sustainability Program: eduKenya students and their families continued to face challenges in 2024 as Kenya experienced excessive rainfalls leading to devastating flooding. Many of the eduKenya students were impacted by these floods and lost their homes and belongings. The eduKenya team responded by supplying needed clothing and food to these families as well as financial resources to help rebuild. eduKenya also continued its focus on training the community members and equipping them with practical skills; in particular textile development training. This training leads to both self-employment as well as employment by the organization. This helps to provide skills and income to families which in turn provides stability to the students lives and the community as a whole. In 2024 the textile products that were focused on were uniforms pencil pouches and pad pouches.
