Global program: twenty-one ascendant leaders from five continents participated in the prestigious 2024 global program, visiting the united states for enlightening exchanges with critical thinkers in their fields. The spring 2024 global fellows came from the worlds of medicine, artificial intelligence, entrepreneurship, finance, space exploration, economic policy, environmental protection, urban planning, philanthropy, academia and the arts. The fellows concluded their travels energized and emboldened to make a significant impact in their home countries and regions through initiatives that included an innovative recordkeeping system for public hospitals in liberia, village-based technical training for women entrepreneurs in kenya, a comprehensive plan to expand telemedicine services in colombia, alternative energy solutions for climate change problems in vietnam, an entertainment franchise devoted to african heritage and culture and digital platform to confront biases in artificial intelligence systems.

Expenses: $1.2MGrants: $505K

Fall women's leadership program: in the fall, eisenhower fellowships welcomed 22 exceptional leaders from 20 countries to the u.s. For its fourth women's leadership program since 2010. The fellows, who share a commitment to advancing civic participation, civil discourse and good governance in their home countries, came from the worlds of entrepreneurship, government, law, venture capital, nonprofit management, refugee resettlement, climate change mitigation, environmental protection, entertainment, international trade and urban planning. They enjoyed a memorable fellowship as they crossed the united states, traveling individually and as a tight-knit group. The program ended in new york, where trustee matt manders, chair of the ef board's executive committee, and george de lama presented the fellows with their pins and certificates to mark the end of their fellowship travels and immersion into the influential ef global network of leaders.
