The organization's primary exempt purpose is to fulfill the charitable purposes of (1) fostering amateur sports competiton by conducting national or international competition in sports and supporting and developing amateur athletes for national or international competition in sports and (2) promoting the social welfare of the residents of el paso county, texas by promoting long distance running as a form of exercise that will improve their health, morale and overall well being.
