Mission
We are an accredited library dedicated to promoting lifelong learning preserving northern New Mexicos cultural heritage and providing a welcoming space where people of all ages can share ideas and access a wide range of educational resources
Programs

Children and youth programs. This inlcuded: (a) summer reading progrsm; (b) after school program learning activities for elementary students after school; (c)toddler literacy, introducing toddlers to reading at an early age; (d) STEM-to-read; (e) Farm Trip; (f)Wildlife Center raptors education; (g) field trip to artist Nicholas Herreras studio; (h) adobe brickmaking class; (i) Explora Science Center traveling exhibit. 280 children, toddlers, tweens, and teens, as well as parents and guardians, attended these programs. We also participated in the Abiquiu Back to School Block Party, providing school supplies for the new school year.
Events. Events included: (a) book talk and signing by local author; (b) harvest festival including cider press and harvest education; (c) poetry reading by local poets; (d) El Rito quilters; (e) open house during El Rito Studio Tour; (f) presentation of citizenship by treaty in New Mexico. These events were attended by 501 adults, teens, and children. We also participated in the Abiquiu Farmers Market, providing books and educational materials to 27 attendees.
