Mission : To restore a healthy population of sea otters to the Oregon coast and to thereby make Oregon's marine and coastal ecosystem more robust and resilient. Significant activities include conducting scientific and policy analysis and communications with the public and stakeholders to build support for sea otter reintroduction to Oregon.

Scientific and public policy analysis aimed at determining the feasibility and impacts of restoring and protecting a viable sea otter population in oregon. The work included working with scientists to develop a regional sea otter population model; developing short-term and long-term ecological monitoring plans; coordinating with regional experts, tribes, and agencies on planning needs for reintroduction plan; ongoing work to understand the socio-economic impacts of any reintroduction, including to fisheries.
