Programs
3 programs
Industry engagement and education: we convene industry in pre-competitive conversations to advance circular business models and practices. We do this through events, scoped action-oriented projects to address specific shared issues, research and thought leadership. We focus on (1) critical minerals, (2) plastics and packaging and (3) retail and consumers as our three key domains as they are critical influencers of overall activity in canada and the united states.
Circular economy policy: emf, usa. Informs and educates policymakers at a sub-national, national and international level to embed circular economy principles in various industrial and waste management policies in order to progress environmental outcomes. As part of this, we conduct research to help understand the most effective policies and their economic outcomes across various stakeholders. We focus on (1) critical minerals, (2) plastics and packaging and (3) retail and consumers as our three key domains as they are critical influencers of overall activity in canada and the united states.
Circular design for food: we are launching a new program in the coming fiscal year to bring circular design for food into the midwestern united states. We are working wtih ngo collaboratives to bring our proven model - the big food redesign challenge (launched in europe by our sister charity) to the midwest by working with ngo collaboratives and experts to model better landscape practices and ensure that regenerative food products are prominent in the marketplace.
