Elys Historic State Theater

FILM FESTIVALThe annual Ely Film Festival celebrates local storytelling and regional voices, by bringing together residents and visitors to experience Minnesota-made, Indigenous, and independent films. This fiscal year total admissions for this four-day event were 3,378.

EVENTSThe theater hosts live music events and performances, including a Summer Concert Series and collaborations, e.g. the Portageland Music Festival. This fiscal year, 15 live music events included performances by 20 Minnesota artists and musicians, reaching more than 700 audience members and strengthening the performing arts scene in rural Minnesota.
