Managed the Antelope Valley African American Infant and Maternal Mortality (AAIMM) Backbone Initiative, serving as the regional convener and coordinator. This work included hosting community and stakeholder meetings, organizing events, and managing logistics to support collaboration among key partners. We facilitated engagement with healthcare institutions, community-based organizations, and residents to advance equity-centered strategies aimed at improving Black maternal and infant health outcomes in the region. Led the Policy and Advocacy work of the Los Angeles County African American Infant and Maternal Mortality (AAIMM) Initiative, serving as the backbone organization for regional coordination and systems-change efforts. Activities included convening cross-sector stakeholder meetings, facilitating strategic planning sessions, managing event logistics, and advancing policy priorities that center Black maternal health equity. We engaged with public agencies, healthcare institutions, and community advocates to promote policies and practices that address systemic disparities impacting Black birthing people and their families across the county. this also included launch the MotherBoard
