Mission

Enlace comunitario transforms lives of individuals and their families experiencing domestic violence by working to decrease gender inequity and intimate partner violence in the latino immigrant community in central new mexico. Enlace accomplishes this through transformative direct services, leadership development, preventative community education, outreach and policy advocacy in collaboration with community partners.

Programs

1 program

Prevention and outreach strategies - build leadership among latino immigrant youth and adults who have experienced domestic violence and engages them to inform and educate the latino immigrant community about their rights as immigrant victims of domestic violence and the services available to them in central new mexico. We also work with trained latino immigrant leaders to develop and implement anti-violence media outreach campaigns in spanish and educate service providers in central new mexico about rights of battered immigrants and the barriers that they face. We also work to change policies that affect immigrant victims. Through different media and education campaigns, we have reached thousands of new mexicans.
