Epilepsy Association

Public health education: the association provides educational presentations to a variety of community groups, students, teachers, and the general public to increase the awareness and understanding of epilepsy. Education is provided about epilepsy facts, seizure recognition, and epilepsy first aid. 56,736 individuals were reached through community education programs and another 151 individuals accessed assistance through information and referral programming.

Kids and family: the association provides support for families who have a child with epilepsy. The association staff assess the needs of each family member with one-on-one support and connects them with community services, provides general assistance, epilepsy education and advocacy. Services are tailored to meet the unique needs of each family. In 2024, there were 273 children and families who were served through programming and 84 visits provided to individuals and schools.
