Programs

2 programs

Professional education - in 2024 we provided education and seizure first aid training to the medical community and healthcare providers, including, but not limited to, first responders, school nurses and school personnel, and neurology offices. We also offered continuing medical education opportunities for healthcare professionals focused on epilepsy-specific topics.

Expenses: $174K

Public health - in 2024, we trained almost 4000 individuals in seizure first aid, including families impacted by epilepsy, employers, first responders, school nurses, school personnel, and the general public. We engaged in ongoing efforts to protect the rights of people with epilepsy and promote public policies that benefit people with chronic illness such as access to medication and specialty healthcare services, patient safety and mental health. Our public policy agenda is promoted through grassroots efforts and regular communication with policy makers.
