Epilepsy Foundation Of Minnesota Inc

Educate: the epilepsy foundation of minnesota's (efmn) seizure smart trainings increase community-wide seizure recognition and response and awareness of the ways epilepsy can impact the lives of minnesotans living with epilepsy. The trainings are available in-person, online, or pre-recorded and are provided at no cost to participants. Priority audiences include family members of minnesotans with epilepsy, schools, workplaces, and care facilities. In 2024, 8,185 individuals living or working in minnesota were trained.

Empower: epilepsy foundation of minnesota (efmn)'s personalized support program increases access to epilepsy management information and the resources (healthcare and social determinants of health resources) needed to manage epilepsy effectively. Individuals either reach out to efmn for support or are referred by their healthcare provider. Upon connection to efmn, our team assesses their needs, teaches customized epilepsy management, and supports navigating epilepsy-related barriers to education, employment, healthcare, and daily life. The efmn team follows along, as needed, with clients to ensure their needs are met. In 2024, efmn supported 838 individuals impacted by epilepsy.
