Escucha Mi Voz Iowa Catholic Worker

The mission of escucha mi voz iowa is to build the power of immigrant and refugee workers and everyday people of faith to be a force for justice and social change in society. Refugee resettlement, housing, and integration including wrap-around support and referrals to education, legal, long-term housing, and health care. Weekly soup kitchen, drop-in center, and food pantry, where poor and homeless people can come in off the street for free hot meals, coffee, showers, laundry, conversation, and safe place to be. Popular education events and roundtable discussions to train grassroots immigrant and refugee leaders in civic engagement and grassroots advocacy. Promotion of immigrant rights, worker justice and catholic social teachings.
