Mission

The mission of Especially The Family is to identify urgent needs in the developing world to communicate those needs to anonymous donors who are willing and able to meet them and then to facilitate transactions that meet these needs in a responsible efficient and transparent manner.

Our second largest program are grants given to meet individuals one-time urgent needs. These needs are coordinated by trained volunteers who verify there legitimacy and assist in making them known on our website. The volunteer coordinators are trained to collect recipient information and correctly identify who qualifies for support based on our policies and procedures manual. There were 237 grants given with an average award size of 668 USD.

Our third largest program in 2024 was support for 50 at risk impoverished seniors in India as well as urgent needs in the region. This was done by supporting their nursing home care in southern India and giving to disaster relief in the area. There were 176 grants given with average award size of 394 USD.
