Essar Recreation Association

Social - The ESSAR promoted members to participate in social and recreational activities for its 3,500 members. The social activities include an annual Fall Festivals, Children's Holiday Party, and an annual picnic. The recreational activities include fishing tournaments, table tennis, and an annual golf tournament. Special interest groups including amateur radio operators, Toastmasters, photography and garden club. Community service projects were also held throughout the year.

Event tickets, merchandise sales and VIA bus subsidies. The ESSAR provides discounted tickets to area entertainment and sports events. The association promotes the VIA bus system as alternate transportation by providing subsidized fares to its members.
