The essex community land trust is an organization that holds land in trust for the purposes of preserving affordability of the homes built on the land by community developers. In doing this, the organization also preserves public dollars used to build reconstruct housing and ensures the low to moderate income buyers succeed as buyers and do not foreclose by providing pre and post purchase stewardship.
